Being part of our association grants you access to a number of benefits
that will enhance your homeschool experience within a network of many other like minded families.

PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES
NJHSA has a number of Academic, Athletic, Music, Fine Arts and Social/Cultural Club programs and activities available to its members. While our member families hail from all parts of Northern New Jersey and lower NY, our most popular activities are centered in: Hawthorne, Oakland, Newfoundland, Cedar Grove, North Haledon, Ridgewood, Wyckoff and Fardale NJ.
FIELD DAYS
The NJHSA board members host a day of food, games and activities at different venues where members can connect with one another and enjoy a day out.
FAMILY DAY
The NJHSA board members host a gathering in the summer where families get together to bring the school year to a close in a relaxed and fun-filled environment while preparing everyone for the new season ahead.
CONNECT WITH FAMILIES
Membership in NJHSA affords its members the opportunity to connect families with similar interests or children of same ages with one another to encourage and assist in the homeschooling adventure.
ANNUAL MEETING
We hold an Annual Business Meeting at the beginning of the school year. The members receive a report of previous year’s business as well as exciting information of the upcoming year. The meeting provides a wonderful opportunity to come together as an association in person to fellowship and for the ASC’s (Activity Support Groups) to showcase their activities.
WEBSITE
The website is used to dispense information regarding NJHSA endorsed events & activities as well as what is happening within each Activity Support Council (ASC). News and information are primarily located in the areas of classifieds and calendar.

Includes information on NJHSA events and ASC (Activity Support Council) events, as well as items or homeschool related services that NJHSA members would like to offer or recommend.

The NJHSA online calendar is posted for members to see the different activities that are happening and on which days.

INSURANCE
NJHSA Insurance provides insurance coverage for liability when NJHSA rents or uses a facility where our audience, spectators, or guests attend or participate at.
8th & 12th GRADE GRADUATIONS
NJHSA members are eligible to participate in both an 8th Grade graduation and a 12th Grade graduation.
YEARBOOK
NJHSA graduate families have the opportunity to acquire a yearbook as a keepsake.
HSLDA DISCOUNT
Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA), a nonprofit advocacy organization established to defend and advance the constitutional right of parents to direct the education of their children and to protect family freedoms. A group discount of $10.00 is offered by HSLDA to members of NJHSA.
